FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Please wear whatever clothes you feel comfortable moving in (leggings, loose-fitting joggers, t-shirts etc are all fine) and bring your own drinking water. During the session you can either be barefoot, or wear socks.  Socks with non-slip grips are ideal.      

 

Please do not turn up very early for your session. Due to Covid-19, clients will not be allowed to enter the studio until the previous client has left and the studio has been cleaned (see below).   Arriving 5 minutes before your scheduled start-time is fine.

We follow the latest Government Covid-19 guidelines, and also take the following precautions: 

  • WC on site with hand-washing facilities.  All clients are asked to wash their hands before entering the studio, and the teacher will do the same before and after every session. 
  • Windows on both sides of the studio are left open to increase ventilation. 
  • Hand sanitiser stations are located inside the studio. 
  • All equipment is cleaned between sessions (longer breaks are scheduled between clients to allow for this). 
  • Your teacher will remain socially distanced as much as possible. 
  • All clients will be asked to complete an electronic supplementary Covid questionnaire which includes information about when you should and should not attend a session.   
  • Masks are not mandatory inside the studio but you are welcome to wear one during your session if you are comfortable doing so, and your teacher may also choose to wear one / will wear one if you request it.  

Of course!   These versatile pieces of equipment actually offer lots of support for beginners or those recovering from injury, as well as the option to advance the exercises and add resistance for clients looking for more of a challenge. Your teacher will guide you through how to safely use the equipment.

Yes.  There is a WC available for client use only. We ask all clients to wash their hands before entering the studio. 

This is for your safety and to ensure you receive the very best service from us.  

 

The 45-minute introductory session is spent introducing you to the studio and the equipment, assessing your movement, and discussing any goals, injuries or concerns you have indicated on your enrolment form.  This will ensure that your future 1:1 or Duet sessions are completely tailored. 

 

The 45-minute introductory session is offered at a reduced rate of £30 (full hour sessions are usually £55).  All clients are asked to complete Electronic Client Enrolment Form in advance of their introductory session – a link to the form is included in your session confirmation email or hard copies are available in the studio.

As often as you like! Many of our clients like to book a weekly slot, but you are also welcome to attend more or less frequently – we simply ask that if you book a block of sessions, that they be used within the timeframe stated (e.g. a block of 5 must be used within 6 months). 

Regardless of how often you visit us, we can provide additional guidance on exercises to work on at home in between sessions if requested.   

We ask that you use a block of 5 sessions within 6 months, and a block of 10 sessions within 12 months. Please refer to our Ts & Cs for more details.

In addition to our private 1:1 sessions for individual clients, we also offer ‘Duet’ sessions if you would prefer to work-out with a friend or family member.  

 

We charge a flat rate of £25 to add a guest to any of your bookings.  Simply click on the link in the confirmation email you will receive after you’ve booked your session.  

 

Please note that your guest will also need to complete a Client Enrolment Form and attend an introductory session.    You can either add them as a guest to your introductory session (by clicking on the link in your confirmation email), or they can book their own introductory session. 

1:1s - Your session can be rescheduled or cancelled online up to 24 hours in advance without charge.   Please login at the ‘My Account’ page to cancel your session and receive a refund, or to have the session credited back to your account (for sessions booked as part of a block).   

 

No-shows and sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a 50% charge. 

 

Duets – You can cancel your guest’s booking at any time without charge as long as the primary client is still attending.  Please just email us to let us know that the guest will not attend, and the £25 guest fee will be refunded in full.   If the primary client is unable to attend, the conditions apply as per 1:1s (24 hours' notice must be given otherwise a 50% charge will apply). 

Once you are booked in, we will send you full details of how to reach the studio.  It is set in a private garden just a few minutes’ walk from Broxbourne High Street, with access to the studio via a side-gate.  There is ample parking on a private driveway in front of the Pilates studio.
